Welcome to our Civic Mentorship Network “Learn About It” meetings!

Mayor and City Council: Rita Albrecht

Women belong in leadership positions, including you. We at 100 Rural Women want to join you in your journey as you pursue public service positions. Specifically, providing you with the necessary resources for support. And the most valuable resources are the very women who are making a difference in their communities. Thus, at these meetings, women from various public service backgrounds will discuss their paths to leadership and the barriers they’ve overcome. Our goal is to facilitate a mentorship environment that provides you with encouragement and support in your own leadership journey.

For our first meeting, we will be hosting Rita Albrecht on Wednesday, September 14th at 6 PM CT. A Northern Minnesota resident, Rita has dedicated herself to improving the area through people and the environment. Further, as a prior city councilwoman and mayor in Bemidji County, Rita has years of public service experience. Likewise, her leadership continues as she serves as a citizen member of the Legislative-Citizen Commission on Minnesota Resources.

Learn More About Rita!

You’re invited to hear more from Rita herself at this Civic Mentorship Network “Learn About It” meeting!

ABOUT THE CIVIC MENTORSHIP NETWORK

The Civic Mentorship Network is comprised of rural civic leaders who serve as mentors for new women who are pursuing public service and leadership positions. This network provides a coordinated method for aspiring leaders to make person-to-person connections that give access to resources that are valuable to enduring success. At 100 Rural Women, we find that success in recruiting more rural women to serve in public service leadership roles is essential to keeping our democracy strong.

ABOUT 100 RURAL WOMEN

100 Rural Women sees a future where more rural women lead positive change for themselves, their families and communities, the nation and the world.  We are committed to building leadership through networks, mentorship, education, and civic engagement.
